Registered Nurses (RN)
Registered Nurses are skilled nurses that assist clients with direct patient care. They can also provide supervision for other caregivers.
All new clients of All Stat Home Health receive a Free RN Admission. The Registered Nurse goes to the home, visits with the patient, reviews their medical history and their current condition.
The Registered Nurses set up a Plan of Care which may include duties for Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, Homemakers and Companions and skilled other nurses. Including License Practical Nurses and other Registered Nurses.
Under State of Florida Guidelines, Registered Nurses can instruct Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, Personal Care Assistants, Homemaker/Companions, and Licensed Practical Nurses. Also, can provide direct hands on skilled nursing assistance for the administration of medication and treatments for the patient. An RN can also monitor the status of patient care and report and take orders from the Physician in charge of care.
Registered Nurses can also provide wound care and change wound dressing and bandages. They can apply medicated ointments and creams as prescribed by a physician.
Registered Nurses are a valuable asset of our agency as they provide valuable support and direction for caregivers. As well as, keeping communication between All Stat Home Health and the Physician’s Office.
Limitations: Registered Nurses cannot prescribe medications.
