Live-In Caregivers

All Stat Home Health utilizes Live-In Caregivers as a valuable level of care for clients.

Live-In Caregivers can be a  HHA, CNA or PCA who works in 24 hour shifts in the home. Typically, we assign two people to a Live-In Case, one who works for 4-5 days, and a second person who works for the remaining 2-3 days.

There are only a few qualifiers for this type of care.
First, the Level of Care must be appropriate – a client who needs assistance throughout the night would cause an employee to not be able to adequate sleep. This would result in a caregiver who was not performing as expected and could result in harm to the client.

Second, the employee needs a place to sleep. Since they will be staying at the home for multiple days it is necessary that they have a bed of their own in a separate room. This allows them some privacy and the ability to sleep.

Third, Live-In Caregivers must be available. Not everyone is able to be away from their home for multiple days at a time. Since this is a unique function, we must have suitable Live-In Caregivers available in order to provide this level of care.

The ideal candidate for Live-In Caregivers is an elderly female client who lives alone, has an extra room and wants companionship as well as personal care services.
